How to prepare artwork for embroidery digitizing

Quick answer

Send the clearest version of your logo, its final stitched size, the garment or fabric type, and the placement. Add your machine format and deadline if known. A photo or screenshot can start a quote, but original artwork helps the specialist assess small details.

Start with the clearest artwork

Start with the original logo or the highest-resolution image available. Avoid cropping away borders or sending only a tiny preview. If you have a sketch, describe which details must be preserved and which can be simplified. Artwork quality affects what the digitizer can confidently reproduce, especially small lettering and narrow outlines.

Specify size, fabric, and placement

Specify the finished width and height, not just the image dimensions in pixels. Tell us whether the design is for a cap, polo, jacket, towel, bag, or patch, and where it will be stitched. Fabric and placement influence underlay, stitch direction, and density. The same logo may need different stitch planning on a cap than on a flat garment.

Confirm formats and review your stitch-out

Include any required thread colours, machine file format, and delivery deadline. If you do not know the format, share the machine make and model instead. Review the preview before approval and test the delivered file on the intended fabric before starting a production run. Send a photo of any stitch-out concern so the team can identify the adjustment needed.
